The Jerrabomberra Community Bank® Project aims to establish a Bendigo Bank Community Bank® in the town centre of Jerrabomberra and is seeking shareholders in order to get the bank up and running.
A Community Bank® branch will provide the region with more than just quality banking services. It will deliver employment opportunities for local people, keep local capital in the region, serve as a local investment option for shareholders and provide a source of revenue for important community projects determined by the local community.

Prospectus on its way
The Jerrabomberra Community BankŪ Prospectus is expected in September.
Once the Prospectus is launched, residents of the Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra and Canberra regions will be able to show their support for the bank by purchasing shares. The bank will not be able to open without the support of these shareholders, as the sale of shares raises the capital needed to establish and operate the bank.
Once up and running, the bank will provide a source of revenue for important community projects. For instance, our partners, the Calwell and Wanniassa Community BankŪ branches handed out around $120 000 in grants last financial year. As well they placed $143,600 into the Community EnterpriseTM Foundation - a philanthropic arm of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Group. These funds will be reserved for future support of community projects in our region.
To show its commitment to the community, the Jerrabomberra Community BankŪ Project recently fast-tracked over $7,000 in grants, which went to ten local groups in Jerrabomberra, including the Queanbeyan District Girl Guides Jerrabomberra Public School P&C Association, 1st Jerrabomberra Scouts, the Queanbeyan Unit of the NSW State Emergency Service and the Twin City Church Carols by Candlelight.
Keep visiting our website for further updates or sign up to receive the Prospectus.
