Community Bank® Project hands $5,000 to ten local groups
Last November the Jerrabomberra Community Bank® Project handed out $5,000 worth of grants to ten local groups in Jerrabomberra, demonstrating the need for a Community Bank® in Jerrabomberra.
Last financial year Calwell/Wanniassa Calwell/Wanniassa Community Bank® Branches handed out last financial year around $120,000 in grants to their community. Just imagine what our community groups in Jerrabomberra could do with that sought of money?
Grant recipients were:
- Queanbeyan District Girl Guides - contribution towards Girl Guide Camp
- Jerrabomberra Public School P&C Association - Water tank for school
- 1st Jerrabomberra Scouts - chairs for Scout activities
- Jerrabomberra District Softball Association - Softball equipment upgrade
- Jerrabomberra Touch Association Inc - Play by the Rules signage
- NSW State Emergency Service: Queanbeyan Unit - Contribution towards new whiteboards
- Queanbeyan Little Athletics Club - Junior Equipment
- Jerrabomberra Tennis Club Inc - Junior Tennis Tournament
- Fellowship Baptist Church - to assist Community Outreach programs
- Twin City Church: Carols by Candlelight 2009 - event sponsorship
